The book series was originally going to be illustrated. So the search began for a very special artist.
I was lucky to discover professional illustrator and artist AUSTĖJA SLAVICKAITĖ WOJTCZAK based in Lithuania. We shared a warped sense of humour and often found ourselves finishing each other’s sentences as we talked through ideas.
Below are some illustration ideas we had during the character development. I also included some test “scenarios” we created just to see if the humour of the written page could be translated through the characters Austeja developed.
I would say it worked out well…
