I was lightly napping on the sofa. Out of the corner of my eye I could see my wife staring lovingly at me while she thought I was asleep.
Me: (Yawn) …“Hey….”
Wife: “Huh? Oh…you’re awake.”
Me: “Yeah…I saw you watching me when you thought I was asleep.”
Wife: “Was I?”
Me: “Yep…and I could tell what you were thinking.”
Wife: “Really? What was I thinking?”
Me: “Handsome. You were thinking handsome.”
Wife: “…Oh Lord…”
Me: “Yep…I’m a pretty man. You’re actually quite lucky to have me.”
Wife: “Well…you’re not too far off. I was thinking about the first time I saw you. And I did think there is a handsome man. You were well-dressed and looked very successful. You had intelligent eyes and I knew I had to meet you. So I went up to you…that’s when I realized a problem…”
