TUESDAY STORIES – FIRST AID

I was teaching my son how to ride a bike. He went too fast and started to fall. I was able to grab him and he landed on me instead of the asphalt.

My Son: “Mommy…I got a boo-boo…”

Wife: “Oh my God!! What happened!? How hurt is he??!!”

Me: “He’s ok Honey…I caught him. He has a tiny scrape on his knee. It’s nothing.”

Wife: “Are you ok Baby!? Talk to me!! Where does it hurt? Can you walk?”

Me: “He’s fine. I took the bulk of the fall. I wrecked my knee and my arms are a little cut up.”

Wife: “Finn did you hit your head? How many fingers do you see? Are you dizzy? Nauseous!? Let me get the polysporin and hydrogen peroxide…”

Me: “Yeah…I’m not feeling that great…lost lots of blood…so dizzy…”

Wife: “Here Baby I got the cool band-aids you like and let me give it a kiss.”

Me: “…I might have a concussion…probably going to lose an arm…”

Wife: “Let Mommy give you a big hug. Ooohh…there you go! How do you feel now Baby? Better? Would you like to go get an ice cream?”

My Son: “Yeah Mommy…thanks.”

Me: “I feel cold…oh…so…very cold…Oh no…the light…Grandma…is that you?”
